"COOPERATION OF ENTERPRISES WITH VOCATIONAL TRAINING SCHOOLS
ON THE EXAMPLE OF COMPETENCE LABORATORIES IN ITALIAN SCHOOLS"

ERASMUS+ KA210-VET - Small-scale partnerships in the field of vocational education and training

The project is implemented for 12 months: from 09.05.2022 to 08.05.2023

The amount of funding awarded is 30,000 EURO

Purpose of the project

Theoverall objective of the project is to gain knowledge on tools for developing cooperation between education and employers by learning about the competency laboratory method in an Italian educational institution - an example of a proven method of dual education. The final report will include information on the method and recommendations for its application in Malopolska. A study visit of Poles in Italy will allow us to build a group of ambassadors for this solution.

We have set three main goals for the project:

  • To increase the competence of vocational training school directors in adapting the educational program to the real needs of the market and Polish entrepreneurs on the example of the Italian VET competence laboratory.
  • Raising the competence of HR directors of industrial companies in terms of cooperation and dialogue with education and giving it direction.
  • Raising the competence of CEOs of industrial companies in terms of cooperation and dialogue with education and giving it direction.

By implementing project activities, we want to give direction, help understand dependencies, give knowledge and skills to project participants in the field of cooperation between educational institutions and business. All this so that they can independently establish cooperation on the line company-school, which will increase the employability of young people and contribute to the growth of employee capital in Małopolska industrial enterprises. The experience and knowledge gained during the project will allow participants to ensure the quality and better adaptation of vocational education and training to the real needs of the labor market - which is directly related to the main priority of the project.

During the course of the project, participants will complete a questionnaire twice to verify their level of knowledge - before and after participating in study visits to Italy. The goal is to increase the knowledge index by min. 80%.

Our mission is to develop the VET sector, improve the quality of education, diversify the educational offer, increase the competence of representatives of the sector, and open the door to cooperation with Malopolska industrial companies - which will allow the directors of these companies to increase their employee capital.

Recruitment for the project has started!

As part of the project, we will participate in a study visit to two Italian vocational training schools. The trip to Italy will take place from November 9-12, 2022. Participation in the study visit is the main point of the project. It is during this activity that we will exchange knowledge and insights, learn about good practices, gain a fresh perspective on the benefits of school-business cooperation. Our goal is to influence the growth of knowledge and awareness among representatives of the business and education sectors - we believe that participation in the trip will make the knowledge acquisition process more attractive and that it will influence the development of cooperation between Polish vocational training schools and training companies. This will help solve the problem of acquiring employee capital in industrial companies, will have a positive impact on the employability of young people, but will also make the VET sector more attractive - because thanks to awareness and establishing contacts with companies, schools will be able to better match educational activities with real market needs.
