Webinar systems "less professional" - continue great tools!

03/27/2020

We recently featured a blog post about professional webinar systems, or platforms that enable digital meetings and online communication. As people and the world evolve, solutions are sought to increase the speed and efficiency of knowledge exchange. Webinars are used by those professional groups that care most about developing their competencies. Research shows that the most popular webinar topics are foreign languages and management aspects. However, the world is constantly changing-as we have seen over the past few weeks-and the challenge is to adapt to these changes. Here the question arises, what kind of webinars do Poles want? The observatory shows that for our compatriots the most important aspects of such training are access to additional materials, the opportunity to interact with the trainer, including asking questions or chatting, and the ability to archive the recording. To meet this need, we have put together side by side another interesting webinar platforms. Do any of them meet the needs of the audience?

A few more examples

  • Expertise tv. is a webinar platform for experts that works in HTML5. There is a free version of it, without a time limit "Free Forever", the use of which allows us to conduct a webinar efficiently and reliably. In this platform, it is possible to rebroadcast, i.e. broadcast live on Facebook, and the creation of video materials itself is very simple. By creating a mailing list, we build a community - we can invite participants of previous meetings to upcoming events. Expertisetv also offers chat, the ability to check attendance, or share surveys with questions.
  • Crowdcast is easy to use and innovative - more like a social networking platform than a typical webinar program. Each webinar user has his or her own profile, and by following them, viewers can stay up to date with "news." An additional plus is the ability to give presentations with multiple hosts or screen sharing - a very convenient option when we want to give our audience a PowerPoint presentation. Customization of webinars, however, is significantly limited. Crowdcast provides its platform for creating meetings without interfering with their content, but it imposes a framework on the appearance of the profile or webinar room. It is also worth knowing that in Crowdcast, meetings automatically end after 2 hours.
  • BigMarker offers us many options for creating webinars: from live, to on-demand seminars (pre-recorded webinars are available to viewers at any possible time), to a 24/7 virtual meeting room, i.e. an always-available webinar room that can be joined whenever the need arises. This is a huge plus for those hosting a wide variety of online events. In addition, BigMarker offers a wide range of well-designed admission page templates.
  • HQWebinar is a platform that offers many interesting solutions. Of interest is the option to add videos to the webinar and the ability to study resources from external websites, making the webinar more interesting and engaging. HQWebinar also offers the possibility to create a waiting room where visitors can browse useful information and resources while waiting for the event. The platform also has basic facilities such as live chat and screen sharing.
  • Demio describes itself as "a webinar platform designed with marketing in mind." Ease of use, good video and audio quality, and a clean, minimal user interface are sure to appeal to many interested parties. Demio includes features for greater engagement and interaction during the event, such as live chat, polls and the ability to share handouts as downloads.
  • Webinar Jam offers a lot of facilitation for beginners - there are training videos at every step, so you can quickly learn what to do and how to do it. Webinar Jam provides the option of "pop-up buttons," surveys, offers and countdowns that encourage participants to take action. In addition, each webinar is automatically recorded and a replay can be sent to participants.
  • Livestorm is a no-download solution for webinars and online meetings. You can also use Livestorm on mobile devices. In addition to basic webinar features, Livestorm also offers advanced post-meeting analytical tools as well as audience segmentation features.
  • Easy Webinar offers a large selection of recurring, one-time or automatic events when creating a webinar. The options can easily be customized to suit you, but in Easy Webinar you won't find the option to ask questions, send surveys to viewers, or use a "whiteboard." Webinars on Easy Webinar will therefore be in the form of lectures rather than interactive learning.

As you can see, the choice is huge. Thus, we are able to choose the most suitable form of conducting online meetings. However, it is worth, above all, not to forget the positive energy when interacting with listeners - it will forgive even problems with loaded servers.
