Why is it worth having a team management application?

05/20/2020

Applications for remote team management in a company seem to be increasingly popular, and recently (due to the obvious situation) are experiencing a real boom. These types of solutions improve the company's operation very well. The main task of these platforms is to improve communication. In a small company employing less than 10 employees, the ease of communication and the effects of this communication will be much higher than in the case of a company employing 5,000 people, and the efficiency of the company's activity depends on the efficiency of information flow. In a smaller team of people, it's easier to simply determine the current activities and rip their execution. Large companies are usually divided into teams and their leaders communicate the directions and sequence of processes with each other. The leader (manager) commissions individual activities to team members at the basic level of the enterprise, e.g. line employees - production.

The effects of misunderstanding of employees in the case of enterprises dealing with, for example, production, and in the case of a relatively small enterprise may be deplorable. Let's take the example of a milling machine operator who was tasked with cutting out steel cubes with specific shapes. The employee made a mistake and made this subassembly in full quantity, e.g. 50 pieces with incorrect dimensions. The entire further production process of the device using these elements is impossible to continue, not to mention the loss of materials, etc. To avoid this type of misunderstanding, professional tools are used in which tasks are clearly and transparently written in applications. Each employee equipped with the software even on the phone has at all times a visible scope of their duties.

This is a basic task, it has almost every management tool. However, there are those that work in a much more comprehensive way. Automatic creation of reports or adding procedures, company status, and company rules to the general view are just a few very useful functions of professional management systems. All these types of tools are even key for the management in performing their duties. Generally, the more extensive the tool, the more accurate the "supervision" over individual aspects of the company's operations.

For a larger enterprise, more than one employee performs the same role. For example, we have 10 turners, and we need to commission an element for a client that is complicated enough to require a lathe operator's skill at a level definitely higher than the basic one. How do we know which employee to appoint to cope with the task? Here I want to introduce the revolutionary function of our Heuresis Smart Manager device. Our competence qualification system allows us to "organize" the level of advancement of our employees, thanks to which we can quickly appoint the right person to perform the task.
