What professional opportunities does the trainer certificate give?

05/28/2020

Although most training companies check the person's training competences before establishing cooperation with a trainer, having a certificate will definitely not hurt. We live in a time of efficiency and having the same "paper" to prove skills does not mean much when the candidate does not have them. Certificate is not equal, so when choosing the right formalization of your skills, you should choose those that are based on a certain standard. On our continent, this standard is called the European Qualifications Framework. It is a set of systematized required competences, as well as the very way of conducting validation.

Work standards

The unquestionable advantage of having a certificate (and preferably many certificates) is that at the beginning of the recruitment path to cooperate with our dream and prestigious training company we have "starting points" over candidates who do not have confirmation of their skills. The certificate based on the earlier European Qualifications Framework gives recruiters information on what to expect from us in the category of knowledge transfer, which cannot be said about a person without any formal confirmation. As I mentioned - of course, there is no guarantee that we will get a position out of hand, but it is a confirmation that we know and operate in the current standard. Another advantage is the very fact of having a diploma (s). It proves that we are hard-working and focused on developing our competences, because obtaining prestigious certification requires a lot of work and diligence. These qualities are de facto ordered in every job.

Certification is just a begining

Generally, the certificate organizes the skills and knowledge possessed by the trainer. For the employer it is also a signal that a given person has confirmation of their skills that the employer is interested in. However, regardless of our decision on the certificate - it should never be the end of our development path. As in any profession, if we want to be specialists in the field, we must broaden our horizons, because the probability that we have all the knowledge available in a given topic is very precisely "calculated" zero.
