Graphics, graphics - here! - part 1

05/06/2020

When preparing materials for workshops, whether remote or stationary, it is a very good idea to embellish our teaching aids in any kind of image. Various photos and graphics not only help in the learning process itself (thanks to the image - we can easily communicate the issue, according to the principle that the image expresses more than a thousand words), but also make our presentations more attractive in reception. Well-selected graphic content in conjunction with our substantive content is a sure way that our lectures will be fully understood and assimilated, and will also leave a very good impression on the participants.

We have for you a list of useful applications that are bases of free image files that will meet the above-described tasks!

  • Pixabay is a community of creative people that distributes copyright-free images and video files. All content is released under the Pixabay License, allowing you to use them without asking and without attribution, even for commercial purposes.
  • Piviso is a free database of interesting graphic files and photos. In a categorized way, structured content allows the user to find what he is most interested in. . Pivsio also offers short video clips for free and free use (under Creative Commons Zero principles) and sounds for free use. The latter are not available on CC, but on the license for free use and remix, but without the right to redistribute (i.e. that we can use them in our work, but we can not distribute the originals for download only).
  • Pexels is another very interesting platform with a wide range of free photos and graphics in its resources. In my opinion, the choice of content is the most interesting of those presented, and assigning themes to the appropriate categories definitely helps in finding the content that interests us.
  • Unsplash is an excellent source of graphic files used by clients around the world. In addition to the basic division into thematic categories, as in the case of other databases of this type, in the present times a new category has been added: "work from home". A great idea as many people are looking for this type of graphics to promote their services in a remote formula.
  • StockSnap has in its resources a wide database of graphics and photos. With the standard categorization of topics, an interesting option is the "trends" tab, providing its users with ready-made solutions compatible with the current "dresscode".

In the following descriptions, we will present you with the next "portion" of platforms collected by us containing free, usable graphic files. (here)
